Walking the Cornwall Coastal Path
This web site takes you in detail round every individual mile
of the Cornish coast. The Cornwall Coast Path, also known as the South West
Way, stretches from Bude in North Cornwall to Plymouth Sound on the border of
south Cornwall.
- the information is primarily for walkers who are hiking along
the coast
- it is literally "a walk round Cornwall"
- the coast path has been broken up into bite sized sections
- photographs have been added to help walkers to get the flavour
of the walk
- it is more a walking guide than a bathing guide
- but you can see where the sandy beaches are, to swim or to
walk!
- there is an indication of how strenuous each section of the
walk is
- several descent from 200 feet on the cliff top to sea level
and back can be tiring
- the scenery (apart for a small section of the walk round
St Austell, and another towards Plymouth) is great
- walkers of all degrees of fitness/competance can do sections
of the walk
